Spectacular Spectacular!

While doing research for my theatre paper on the Rise and Fall of the American Musical, I came across a story about a production that took place in 1866 of a melodrama that was eventually combined with a ballet troupe, and became the most spectacular, jaw-dropping, quasi-erotic production in America at the time. It was one of the most successful shows of the 19th Century, running a grand total of 475 performances (20-25x’s longer than the usual show at the time).

Totally reminds me of Moulin Rouge. *making corny smiley face, giving two thumbs up*

I'm good at many things, but I am great at nothing. I play cello, piano, and I sing. I dig cooking and eating more than anyone. Oh yeah, and cats are pretty awesome.
