February 2010
If you haven't seen THE DUCHESS, you really...
It is so fantastic.
January 2010
I have play rehearsal every...single...day this...
This is not what I signed up for.
It’s like I have nothing better to do.
At this point, cello is just going down the drain, sitting on the back burner because my time is over-booked.
I am kinda confused as to why there was no good TV...
Only the DEEP END was on yesterday.
There were new shows last week. What’s up?
Elizabeth Diller is a faculty member of the...
Diller, Scofidio + Renfro ring a bell?
My favorite architectural firm of all time.
I’d be awfully lucky if I got into Princeton. Dream come true.
Forget those pictures of my house...at least for...
Our house is in deep shit.
Pictures to follow.
I don't understand why it seems that the people on...
Who are advertising their Adult Friend Finder profiles always request me.
What’s with that?
Well...
I guess we’re not getting to see the new iPhone today.
Oh well.
So I've decided that my dream job is to be the...
Yeah. I like that.
I don't really understand why people make sex...
Cough, Cough…John Edwards?
Haven’t people learned their lesson yet?
The new recording of Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet...
Is probably the cleanest recording I’ve ever heard of the London Symphony.
And if you watch a video of Gergiev conducting a fast movement (from Romeo and Juliet), it makes me think that he should make an exercise video.
Gergiev is very aerobic because he doesn’t use a baton most of the time, so instead of wrist/forearm, it’s his whole arm/body.
It’s kinda like ROPES GONE...
I can't say this enough.
I can’t stand AP Gov.
I really hope the Saints win today.
I want them to play the Colts in the Superbowl.
You've got to be kidding me!
The Lucerne Music Festival is in August, not July.
That means I won’t be able to go while we are in Switzerland.
I am seriously disappointed.
I am totally gonna get the QUE e-reader when it...
It’s way better than the Nook or Sony Reader.
…and the Kindle because there is a wider selection of material available.
Otherwise I would get the Kindle DX.
I don't understand.
I just bought the London Symphony Orchestra and Valery Gergiev’s new recording of:
Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, and all 52 tracks downloaded perfectly, except for one. This one track is just taking its sweet time. It’s only 6.8 MB, and should be downloaded in 30 seconds or less, not 45 minutes.
I've got some exciting news that you won't care...
I found a copy (that I really like) of Sir John Tavener’s Song for Athene on iTunes, which he wrote for Princess Diana’s funeral.
And I found Eric Whitacre’s Animal Crackers, which I have been looking for for a long time, and it turns out that Brigham Young just released a whole Whitacre album last month.
Pretty sweet.
Supreme Court Rejects Campaign Spending Limits →
soupsoup:
The Supreme Court has ruled that corporations may spend freely to support or oppose candidates for president and Congress, easing decades-old limits on their participation in federal campaigns. The court on Thursday overturned a 20-year-old ruling that said corporations can be prohibited from using money from their general treasuries to pay for campaign ads. The decision almost...

ragbag:
Some time ago a Chicago banking house asked a Boston investment firm for a letter of recommendation about a young Bostonian they were thinking of employing. The Boston firm replied by outlining in enthusiastic detail the young man’s excellent First Family background. Several days later came a curt acknowledgment from Chicago. Unfortunately the material supplied was not exactly what they...
You've got to be kidding me!
More than half of reported cases of Retinal Migraine subsequently experienced permanent visual loss in that eye from infarctions.
What?
I better be in the < 50% portion.
What's kinda funny...
The College of Saint Rose, in Albany, just opened a new communications/technology building, and they’re all like, “Yeah, this is state of the art, and we spent $6,000,000 on it, and it’s just fabulous.”
However, I disagree with the architecture. I think that it could have been designed more fittingly on the interior with its modern exterior. The inside’s a little...
Ocular migraines are probably the worst affliction...
I can’t see anything out of my right eye.
I am so sick of snow.
The snow was melting, and now we are getting some more.
I was hoping spring would come early, due to climate change.
The airfare gods need to do me a favor.
I am pretty sure I just ate a cookie that was made...
I am going to die.
Yes! We now get BBC America HD!!!

Wear it to rehearsal tomorrow, and I’ll let you know.
Hahaha.
Best Buy had to reship my whole order, and guess what?
They used UPS this time!
That’s what you call irony.
