Ben Bernanke
Is going to be the chief lecturer for a Dean’s Seminar about the Fed at my school later this semester. If I can’t do it, I’m going to be so annoyed. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Younger than Springtime
It is 63 and sunny today. I couldn’t ask for better weather in almost-February. It feels like April to me. I kind of wish it actually was. April/May is my favorite time of the year.

A Slushy in the Face: Why Musical Theater Isn't... →
popculturebrain: Most Broadway shows are performed in houses that are not rock venues with sound design that is so concerned with making the lyrics audible and the audience comfortable that the actual sound of real rock music is completely washed out and lost. “In the Heights” (2008) got a lot of attention from the musical theater world for being the “first rap musical.” But it didn’t get a lot...

Finally a good half-time show. How long has it taken them? 9 years, 10 years (since Janet/Justin)? Jeez.

Reincarnation
Call me crazy, but to be completely honest, I kind of do believe in it. I feel like it’s the only explanation for my traits/likes/dislikes that evidently aren’t from my parents. I think that I was reincarnated from someone who was born at the turn of the 20th Century. For a while I thought I was reincarnated from Howard Hughes, but I don’t think I’m quite crazy enough...

City Livin'
I love living in a city. And I hope to live in Manhattan over the next decade or two of my life. There will always be a part of me, though, that will long for a house in the country with huge flower gardens and vegetable gardens that I can tend to on weekends. Hayfields that I can bale for my horses in the summertime with my John Deere while my Corgis chase behind me looking for field mice. I...

Sick
I hate when you get really sick totally out of nowhere. There’s just something about being sick while you’re at school that makes it a 100x’s worse than being sick when you’re at home.

I love how much walking I do at school.
There’s something more enjoyable about walking around here than at home. Maybe it’s because walking here is a means of getting to where you need to go, whereas at home, you really need to drive wherever you have to go. You know, maybe it’s like I don’t think I like doing things just for the hell of it…like they need to have a purpose or something.

And I was doing a scene with the girl who’s playing Tatiana Romanov (Anastasia’s older sister)—her character and mine were good friends. In the scene, our two characters are saying their good-byes before the Romanovs are captured by the Revolutionaries. It’s a very sad departing… Point of My Story: After it was over, the girl who played Tatiana was actually crying...

I am, Without a Doubt, in the Right Place...
My schedule is fantastic. I can get 8 hours of sleep no problem. I love all my professors and all my classes. (They are beyond perfect). I got into the chorus and we’re singing the Mozart Requiem. Last night I subbed at a rehearsal of my theatre professor’s play (it’s a professional off-campus production) and will be doing it again tonight. And I get paid $25 a night...

‘Smash:’ Broadway's Big Prime-Time Moment | NY... →
popculturebrain: The big question: will mass audiences care about Broadway? I’m so excited for this. I hope it isn’t a flop like every single new show NBC has put out this season.
